Docpoint Specifications

The Docpoint server supports one or many 'Docpoint libraries'.
Each Docpoint library contains it's own document collection segmented into groups.
Each group is further identified by up to twelve application defined index attributes.

Users may be assigned to a single library or may choose which library they would like to connect to when they login.
All users are identified by a unique username and password which they must use to log in to the system.
A user may be a member of one or more groups depending on their profile configured by the system administrator. Users may only access documents that belong to the group(s) to which they are members.

Customisable restrictions per group allows administrators to add additional constraints to restrict users to specific segments of a group. A technique known as vertical and horizontal segmentation.

Docpoint includes a web based system administration facility which allows administrators to; Create, delete, or suspend a library. Add, delete, modify, or suspend users. Add, delete, modify, or suspend groups and define index attributes for groups.
